Monday Madness.

It took a little longer to get here today. Where? A calm place in my head so I could write about how Monday started out crazy at 12am. Right now Hub's and I are going through this temperature dispute situation. He swears up and down that he is freezing all the time. He keeps the heat set on 700 and has the nerve to hog up the comforter and wrap up like a mummy?
Last night was the worst ever. I love the sound of the rain and to have the window open, It just relaxes me. This Man swears he has caught the flu from a few rain drops. By 3am he had the house so hot I couldn't take it anymore I wanted to sleep on the roof. I had to settle for a  living room chair in front of the window. Just don't make no sense how well rested Hubs is while everyone else awakes with attitude.

Example 50% of the children decided they were going to act a fool this morning. My Son swears the same stomach ache he had yesterday returned as soon as he heard it is time for school. The Baby "Gorgeous" received a new lace skirt last week that she wore to school on Friday. She figures since 2 days have passed she is going to wear it again today. It wasn't until she also learned that she wasn't going to wear her hair down that she went into a major melt down. I understand the child wants to be beautiful at all times, however straightening  Nyla's hair is a 4 hour, entire family event that no one looks forward to. She is super tender headed so she screams the entire time. She kicks, we keep having to stop for bathroom breaks all while  she's yelling I want my Daddy. Who in the world does she think wants to go through that willingly?

Who doesn't like a giveaway? I know I thoroughly enjoy receiving free things. If you are like me I have 2 giveaways for you.

On Friday my Son comes running in the house and he yells to me: Mom I have the greatest surprise, close your eyes. Well since the young man was fresh out of school I was sure he was getting ready to have a good grade blasted in my face.Well instead, when I opened my eyes I see a little torn piece of paper with 7 number written on it in a first graders handwriting. He says: Can you believe it Mom? I got my 1st phone number. Me: What do you mean your first phone number? Son: This little girl gave me her phone number and I didn't even ask for it. (PAUSE) Now Everyone!  I am trying to control my reactions on impact and I am trying to think things through a little.  I am sure everyone who follows our family is well aware of how I feel about these fast-tailed little girls chasing after my Son's innocents and trying to make me a Grandmother well before my time. He is only 7 years old and right now everything he does he goes to the extreme at it, all I need is for him to figure out what these little girls have to offer him before he completely learns to contain himself, Well after hearing his news, his Sister's grabs the phone and dials the number and runs to tell me the number is real. I asked my Son if this was the same little heifer that gave him the "I love you" birthday card and he tells me No. This number belongs to another girl named Tailor and you just outta see her, she has the longest blond hair and prettiest eyes that are sometimes green but after lunch they turn blue. He said she is magic. Okay so with those words I see all this attention for these little girls has started my baby to feeling some type of way. So I took the number placed it inside of an envelope and wrote Tailor's name on it. I told my Son to put it in his book bag and give it right back to Tailor on Monday and let Miss Tailor know the next time she sends her number any where close to around over here I will be the one who will be given her a call.

A place really just for kids! Wow.....

I think I am jealous. Have you ever been  in a restaurant with a huge sign in the window that says "Kid Friendly" just to pull the old bait and switch when you go in to eat ?. You know when your kids sit in the over sized chairs and knocks up against the table and spill everyone's drinks, or decides it is the perfect time to sing the song they learned in school. Instead of the waitress coming over with a big warming smile, she places down your food, the bill, and to go boxes all at the same time?

Well I have stumbled upon a Restaurant that was made just for kids. Not like your cardboard tasting pizza  and bacteria filled salad buffet of Chuckie Cheese Nooooooo! Real Food! Made by real people for real kids.

The only objection I have is the place is located in Los Angeles, CA. How unfair is that. They have the nerve to offer .

Searching the Web!

I often find myself frustrated and wondering what in the world  folks are thinking quite a bite. Since I spend a lot of time on the Internet. I find myself bothered by the sites that require you to give a blood sample to obtain the information you are looking for. People come on! Why in the world would we spend $50.00 to $99.00 per month to have lighting fast speed all to be jammed up at your website and  be forced to enter our entire life story all to get information that we might not need in the 1st place?

Am I the only one who constantly reminds myself to Keep It Simple Stupid? (K.I.S.S) Anything to complicated or reminds me of being locked inside of a small room with all my children for 72 hours straight will immediately be passed over.

Now that I have vented. I must call this cable company who's name I shall not
mention at this time. Who referred me to their website who then referred me back to their 800 number to find out if they have a package I am not sure I want to purchase???????

Starting new on Sunday!

I have been told over and over that I should start a blog. I think fear of the unknown kept me away from it. But hey I am on Facebook daily talking bout my crazy family anyway so I might as well share my story with a few million more right? I think....
Well let's start with the basic I am Darla 37 years wise. Wife to Jermaine or Hub's as you will soon get to know him. Mother of 4. Yes  ** 4** Shayla is my oldest (16 ) right now she is a sophomore in high school and seems to have a cell phone glued to the side of her head. Jene' is 9 she is my very sweet child. She is very hands on and must be involved in everything, so at her early age she shares my love for food and all things kitchen. Jene' is also very social so most of the time I end up carpooling or hosting a sleepover 3 minutes before it starts.  Jermaine Jr is 7. If you ask him he will tell you he is a rock star and a rapper and when he grows up he is for sure going to be a WWE Wrestler. If you ask everyone else in the house, He has absorbed all the humor genes and will for sure a comedian. Nyla (The Baby) she is 5, She also goes by "gorgeous' or "John Cena" depending on if she plans on playing with her brother or not that day. Most of the time she is the high  maintenance "Diva" and because she has came into the world at the point when I am just to tired to argue with a child. She pretty much gets her way.

If you decided to follow my blog you will see , I love to talk about my family or really anything that comes to my mind. Some might not get my humor, I say oh well!  I am sure everyone knows how to keep it moving on the world wide web.

Any hooo. I must say that today I did get some rather disturbing news when I learned my show on ABC

Will be going off the air. Even though I wasn't a faithful viewer. Things always get so good when it is over!
I would like to bid the cast a farewell  and let them know it has been 5 entertaining years.

I sure hope American Broadcasting Company or Writer Jenna Bans never loses their mind and Cancel my all time favorite show:

I am serious I am just getting over the loss of All My Children and One Life to Live. You can't take it all away from us ABC...

Well until we meet again, I have several hungry people staring at me as if they are wondering if my new hobby is going to prepare Sunday Dinner..........Darla
